Description:

Well known for its spots, the Dalmation  is a strong and agile dog. Bred as a carriage dog Dalmations have a tremendous amount of energy.

Suitability and Temperament:

The Dalmation is intelligent and affectionate and can be very playful. They require lots of leadership training. Must be exercised regularly or behavoral problems can arise. Eg. They become bored - might start digging holes etc.

They are good with children and not generally suited to apartments.

Health:

Dalmations can be prone to defness and skin allergies. Their life expectancy is around 10 -12 years.
